Well then...........after 14 years working for the same company, I decided to take a year off and go traveling with my good friends Sarah and Pete. Having not done it before I thought, at the age of 35 that it would be now or never. This involved a break up of a long relationship, the sale of my house and worldly possessions, handing in my notice and finally planning the trip.
I must thank our Travel agent and friend Zoe Jones at STA at Warwick Uni for for being patient with our constantly changing plans, and after what was probably about 24hrs in total, of her time, we settled on our route.
This blog will be my own personal diary for the year. It will cover the trials and tribulations of the trip for my own personal reflection in years to come, and also to let friends and family know where I am and what I've been up to.
I don't expect it to be regular because I hope to leave the beaten track occasionally, but when I'm able, I will try to add a few thoughts or stories.
